We suggest the following actions to keep your computer running at its best and free of any defects that may cause your system to not be compatible with using our software. We cannot offer full support for any Customers whose machines do not follow the below maintenance steps regularly:
Keep virus software current on any computer. We use AVG Anti-Virus from Grisoft. We have found this to certainly be more reliable and consistent that other popular brands. Schedule it to run often - daily if possible!
Check the Microsoft website regularly for critical security updates for Windows. Update your system with this critical released as soon as possible.
Most people are familiar with freeware, shareware, cookies, media players, interactive content, and file sharing. What they may not realize is that some of the afore-mentioned may contain code or components that allow the developers of these applications and tools to actually collect and disseminate information about those using them. Download and use a spy- ware removal program to keep your computer secure and running smoothly. We recommend Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. They offer a free version that has a terrific performance record. Run this every few days at a minimum. Be certain to keep its definitions updated as well.
Do not open email attachments that are from an unknown sender, as this is often a source of virus and worm infections. Have your virus program scan all incoming email for infections.
